Popular Pastor Announces Divorce From ‘Too Perfect’ Wife

Popular Ugandan pastor, Jonathan Nalebo, has stirred massive reactions across social media after revealing that he and his wife, Enid Mirembe, are parting ways after over seven years of marriage—citing her being “too perfect” as one of the reasons for the split.

The emotional announcement was made via a Facebook post shared by the preacher on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in which he expressed deep regret over mishandling the woman many considered his “treasure.”

Nalebo and Enid were widely admired for their seemingly ideal and faith-driven union, often held up as a model of Christian marriage. However, in a surprising turn, the pastor admitted to falling short in his role as both a husband and spiritual leader.

“Enid Mirembe is an incredible woman,” Nalebo wrote. “In many ways, she was too perfect for me to keep up with, and I mishandled the treasure she was. I failed to fully honor the values she carried so gracefully in every area of life.”

He explained that the decision to separate was mutual and made in the interest of peace, healing, and personal well-being for both parties.

“As a servant of God, I know I am called to lead by example—but I have fallen short,” he confessed. “I now see how easily the enemy can sow division when we are not vigilant in prayer, humility, and love.”

Nalebo also confirmed that their children remain safe and will be under the care of Enid, whom he praised for her wisdom, strength, and unwavering dedication as a mother.

“I wish Enid Mirembe nothing but the best. She deserves a love that honors her completely,” he added. “I pray she finds someone who sees her heart and cherishes her in ways I failed to.”

The pastor concluded his statement with a note of personal reflection, stating that he is returning to his spiritual roots for healing and transformation.

“As for me, I return to the feet of Jesus—to seek Him more deeply, to serve Him more faithfully, and to become the man He originally called me to be,” he wrote, ending with a verse from Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
