Obi Cubana Rejects Adopted Son’s Next-Of-Kin Claim

A social media stir erupted after Obi Cubana publicly declared his biological son as his next of kin, dismissing a viral claim made by his adopted son in a TikTok video.

Nigerian businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has stirred reactions on social media following a recent post about his family.

This came after a young man, identified as his adopted son Chidi, shared a TikTok video claiming he was Obi Cubana’s next of kin.

In response, Obi Cubana took to Instagram to clarify the matter. He posted a photo with his biological son, Alex, and stated clearly that Alex is his rightful next of kin. This post drew mixed reactions online. While some people thought the clarification was necessary, others felt the entire situation was being blown out of proportion.

Separately, Obi Cubana also expressed strong support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State. He stated that the governor deserves a second term in office.

Speaking in Awka on Sunday, the businessman praised the governor’s performance, saying he has made improvements across the state.

He said, “I think for the first time in Anambra State there may not be contest, this is a walkover because the Governor is doing what he promised us in new Anambra State.”

Obi Cubana added that the governor is not satisfied with just what has been achieved so far but is eager to do even more. “When we were with him earlier he said that he’s not talking about what has been done but what has not been done, that means he’s hungry to do more from the Anambra State. He’s hungry to position this state to be in pride of Nigeria as a matter of fact West Africa and Africa.”
