Delta: Oborevwori Chastises APC’s Campaign Of Lies

Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has chastised the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state for refusing to purge itself of its campaign of calumny, lies and insults.

Speaking in an interview, Oborevwori, the speaker of the House of Assembly said that the APC’s negative campaign would not deter him from his focus on winning the hearts of the people and their votes in the forthcoming election.

GWG.ng reports that Oborevwori is being challenged for the Government House, Asaba seat of power by the APC’s Senator Ovie Omo-Agege among others.

Speaking on his chances ahead of the election, Oborevwori said:

“We have worked and still working very hard/smart, with eyes on the ball as we approach the zero hour. We believe without any iota of doubt that our chances are very high even as the PDP flag continues to fly higher.

Noting what he described as the APC’s campaign of lies and calumny in Delta State, Oborevwori said:

“The truth also, is that while the PDP is focused on issued-based campaigns, the APC has refused to purge itself from campaign of calumny, insults, barefaced lies and sheer mudslinging which is their customary stock in trade.

“Ironically, it has helped to brighten our chances since the APC has nothing to tell Deltans. My chances of winning the Delta State Governorship election are very bright. We embarked on Ward to Ward campaigns as well as local government  campaigns. We have met with our people across the state on the need to vote for the candidates of the PDP based on track record. By the grace of God, we shall win the Governorship race.”
