Breaking: Nigeria Qualify For Next AFCON Round After Beating Sudan
Nigeria qualified for the next round of the African Cup of Nations, AFCON competition on Saturday after the Super Eagles team defeated their Sudanese counterparts 3-1.
The goals came through goals by Samuel Chukwueze in the 3rd minute, Taiwo Awoniyi in the 45th minute and Moses Simon in the 46th minute.
The only Sudan goal came via a penalty after their player was pulled down during a scramble in the Nigeria area.
Egypt, Sudan and Guinea Bissau will now be fighting for the other spot left in Zone D.
