Eseme Eyiboh Wins APC Reps Ticket

Former  member of the House of Representatives, Hon Eseme Eyiboh has won the All Progressives Congress, APC ticket to represent Eket/Onna/Esit Eket/Ibeno federal constituency in the forthcoming General Election.

Eyiboh who served as spokesman of the House of Representatives between 2007 and 2011 and also as the dean of The Initiatives won the party ticket with 180 of the 215 votes cast.

Eyiboh defeated two rivals Hon Kingsley Edoho and Hon. Aniekan Akpan who scored 15 votes and 20 votes respectively.

GWGNG reports that Eyiboh polled 55 votes from Eket, 50 votes from Ibeno, Onna 60 votes and Esit Eket 50 votes from the accredited adhoc delegates from the four local government areas demonstrating his ascendancy across the local governments making up the federal constituency. It is also the federal constituency of the outgoing governor of the state, Udom Emmanuel.

Reflecting on his victory in the primary election Eyiboh expressed gratitude to all the stakeholders and particularly the delegates for what he described as their patriotism and uncommon sense of community development.

Eyiboh also reached out to his fellow constituents pledging to work with them to advance the good of the constituency saying that with the ticket, that he would be a bridge to all the tendencies in the Federal Constituency.
