Popular Nigerian gospel artiste, Mercy Chinwo, has announced her engagement to Blessed Uzochikwa, the resident pastor at WaterBrook Church.

The popular songstress Mercy Chinwo who is famous for releasing various soul-lifting songs shared some engagement pictures of herself and her fiancé via her Instagram page on Thursday.

“I am blessed to be blessed with @theofficialblessed,” she wrote in the caption.

“The thoughts of doing the next phase and the rest phase of my life with you makes the blessing more real. I love you sweet.”

Blessed Uzochikwa the resident pastor at WaterBrook Church.also took to his Instagram page, where he expressed gratitude to God and affirmed his love for the singer.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Mercy Chinwo, 31 came to national recognition after she won the Nigerian Idol, Season 2 in 2012.

A year after the Nigerian Idol feat, she landed her first film role in Yvonne Nelson’s film, House of Gold where she acted as Lucia. She starred alongside Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michel and Omawumi among others in the epic which won Best Picture at the Ghana Movie Awards and Best Ghanaian Movie at the 2013 City People.

She shared the video of the engagement which was witnessed by friends and family on her You Tube channel.
