Teenager Leads Gang To Kidnap 6-year-old Cousin for N2m

Abdulrazak Ibrahim, a teenager from Kano, has been detained by the Katsina State Police command for conspiring with two accomplices to kidnap his 6-year-old cousin, Fatima Abubakar.

SP Gambo Isah, the Command’s spokeswoman, revealed Abdulrazak Ibrahim to be the victim’s cousin and the mastermind of the kidnap in a statement issued by the police.

Fatima Abubakar, the victim, was abducted in Kano State by Abdulrazak and his companions Aliyu Salisu and Muhammed Ibrahim, all 19 years old. They took her to Katsina and demanded a two million naira ransom for her release.

According to reliable intelligence, the command was able to locate and apprehend Abdulrazak Ibrahim, also known as “Popular,” of Bachirawa quarters in Kano at around 1700 hours on January 10 of 2023.

Also arrested as accomplices were Aliyu Salisu alias “Chilo,” aged 19, residing in Sabuwa Unguwa, Katsina State, and Mohammed Ibrahim alias “Zalamo,” also aged 19, residing in Gidan Dawa, Katsina State.

The group according to the police abducted Fatima Abubakar from Bachirawa quarters in Kano state on January 6, 2023, at around 1100 hrs., and transported her to Katsina State from where they made a demand for two million naira (N2,000,000.00) ransom before luck ran out on them.

Detectives had acted promptly after receiving the information. Aliyu Salisu, was apprehended while accepting the money and led detectives to the victim who was rescued unscathed.

The news of the Kano teenager arranging the kidnap of his cousin is one that is bound to unnerve many.
