Ministerial List: Senate Begins Confirmation Hearing of Wike, 16 Other Nominees 

The Senate has began the confirmation hearing of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominees.

The process commenced on Monday after a motion was moved by Senator Dave Umahi.

Last week, Tinubu transmitted a 28-man list of ministerial nominees to the senate for screening.

The minister-designate list was sent to the senate through Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The list has drawn much controversy from various sections of the country.

However, the exercise to confirm or reject the nominees is now underway at the Senate.

Meanwhile, the nominees listed on the Order Paper for screening and confirmation are:

Senator Abubakar S. Kyari – Borno

Abubakar Eshiokpekha Momoh – Edo

Nyesom Ezenwo Wike – Rivers

Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumum Utsev – Benue

Senator John Owan Enoh – Cross River

Hon. Barr. Bello Muhammad – Sokoto

Mohammed Badaru Abubakar – Jigawa

Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar – Bauchi

Senator Abubakar Sani Danladi – Taraba

Barr Uju-Ken Ohaneye – Anambra

Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo – Ondo

Dr. Betta Edu – Cross River

Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim – Nasarawa

Arch Musa Ahmed Dangiwa – Katsina

Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji – Enugu
