Senator Aguariavwodo Mocks, Says APC Has No Plan For Nigerians
The Senior Political Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, Tuesday, criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for not having plans to advance the socio-economic development of the people.
Speaking when he played host to the leadership of the Delta Ijaw PDP Support Groups led by Comrade Augustine Okporu at his office in Asaba, Aguariavwodo lamented the hardship caused by the harsh economic policies of the ruling APC in the country.
He commended the Ijaw nation and other ethnic groups in the state for standing firm with the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), assuring that the Sheriff Oborevwori administration would take governance to the people at the grassroot.
He said: “I am very happy to receive all of you here and I love how you stood for the PDP throughout in the battle which was for the soul of Delta State and it was between good and evil.
“It was clear that if PDP had won at the Federal level we wouldn’t be suffering like this. You just mentioned about the high cost of traveling from Burutu to Warri which is now at N7,000.
“How much is the income of our people to afford that kind of high transportation? When the PDP was in power people were feeling the impact of the government even at the local communities.
“Nigerians are crying now because they stole our mandate and Nigerians are now united going forward to ensure that they deliver better leaders in the future.
“In the last eight years it was very bad and now it has gone from bad to worse, but we thank God because God was on our side, He gave us victory and that victory is permanent, PDP and Sheriff Oborevwori would rule the state for the next eight years.
“Let me assure you that the PDP government led by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori will take governance to the people from the urban centres to rural communities.
“The PDP is the party of choice to support and I thank you for not listening to the APC because they don’t have any plans for sustainable development of our people,” he said.
“I thank the Ijaw nation for standing tall for the PDP and we are happy about that,” Sen. Aguariavwodo added in reviewing the plans of the APC for Nigerians.
Earlier, leader of the delegation, Augustine Okporu said they were not moved by the slogan APC came with because “we knew their antecedents, so we worked and supported the PDP and we are very happy that our party won.
“As the saying goes that he who worked should eat, we seek for our own share of the goodies. If we had not worked we wouldn’t have had the courage to write for this courtesy visit,” he added
