Renowned movie producer Eniola Ajao has made a heartfelt plea to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to release controversial crossdresser Bobrisky, following his recent arrest for alleged mutilation of naira notes.
GWG.ng reports that Bobrisky, a prominent figure in the Nigerian social circuit, was arrested after a video surfaced showing him allegedly mutilating naira notes at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s movie.
Bobrisky was crowned at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s film during which he was crowned the best dressed female.
Expressing her concern on social media, Eniola Ajao shared her sadness over the situation and extended her thoughts and prayers to Bobrisky, highlighting his past support and contributions to her work. She emphasized that Bobrisky should not face repercussions due to the movie’s premiere.
Eniola Ajao reflected on the aftermath of the movie premiere, describing the ensuing controversies as unprecedented and expressing regret over the situation. She suggested that perhaps the sequel to the movie should not carry the title “Ajakaju,” acknowledging the tumultuous events surrounding its release.
In her plea to the EFCC, Eniola Ajao appealed for Bobrisky’s release, expressing a willingness to learn from the experience and refrain from engaging in similar activities in the future. She urged supporters to continue showing love by patronizing cinemas to watch her movie, emphasizing its ongoing screenings across Nigeria.
