A video celebrating the 82nd birthday of former President Muhammadu Buhari has set the social media on frenzy, with one netizen questioning the simplicity of his residence.

The clip, which surfaced online, showed Buhari in a modestly designed living room as some top government officers visited him in his Daura house to celebrate his birthday.

A social media user criticized the lack of a modern ceiling finish, writing:
“All the money this guy (Buhari) made in government, yet he can’t even afford POP.”

The remark drew sharp reactions from other users, with many defending Buhari’s choice of home. Some pointed out that the ceiling material he used might actually be more expensive than POP (Plaster of Paris).
