NPFL 2024/2025 Mid-Season Transfer Window Opening Date Announced

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced the dates for the mid-season transfer window for the 2024-2025 season.

The transfer period will begin on January 6, 2025, and will close on February 5, 2025.

This window provides an opportunity for clubs to strengthen their squads by signing new players to enhance their performance in the second half of the season. It is a crucial period for teams to evaluate their current rosters and make strategic adjustments to boost their competitiveness as the season progresses.

The first half of the season concludes today with an exciting match between Enyimba and Bendel Insurance in Aba. This fixture marks the end of match-day 19 and wraps up the initial phase of the league.

Following this, the NPFL has scheduled a three-week break, allowing teams to regroup and prepare for the challenges of the second half of the campaign.

At the end of the first stanza, Remo Stars lead the league table with an impressive 36 points from 19 matches. Rivers United follow closely in second place with 34 points from the same number of games. The break will provide both teams and others an opportunity to strategize for the next phase of the competition.
