Sandra Iheuwa, the babymama of talent manager Ubi Franklin, has publicly accused the Orita Police in Ibadan of illegally detaining her staff and sexually harassing the female employees.

In a detailed post on her Instagram page, Iheuwa expressed her frustration, stating that she had tried to handle the matter privately but could no longer stay silent as the situation had worsened.

According to Iheuwa, the police arrived at her office under the pretense that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) needed to ask some questions. However, her staff were detained without any formal invitation or evidence of a crime. Despite her corporate lawyers’ efforts to contact the DPO, they faced resistance. Additionally, she reported that her staff members were being sexually harassed.

“I’ve been quiet enough and tried to handle this privately, but the situation has escalated beyond what I can bear. The Orita Police in Ibadan have detained my staff illegally without an invitation or any crime committed. They entered my office under the pretense that the DPO merely wanted to ask some questions, and now my employees are being held without any legitimate reason. My corporate lawyer has reached out to the DPO, but we are facing nothing but resistance. To make matters worse, my staff members are currently being sexually harassed. This is an outright abuse of power, and it’s happening to hardworking women who are simply trying to earn a living and support their families.”

Iheuwa highlighted that the actions of the Orita Police violate the fundamental human rights of her employees, specifically their rights to personal liberty and dignity as stated in the Nigerian Constitution. She called for public support to bring attention to the injustice and to demand the immediate release of her staff.

“This is not just a personal issue; it’s a call for justice against intimidation and the misuse of police authority. I am pleading with everyone who sees this message to help me bring attention to this injustice. We need the DPO or anyone in a position to assist to step in and ensure the immediate release of my staff. The country is already hard enough; why make it harder for those who are trying to survive? Please share this message and help us fight against this abuse of power. We need your support now more than ever.”

This incident follows a similar case last month where actress Laide Bakare accused the Nigerian police of driving her car away with her minor daughter inside, leaving the child terrified. Bakare questioned the sanity of the officer who drove her car under such circumstances.
