FRSC Warns Public About False Recruitment Claims

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a warning to the public about false online claims regarding an ongoing recruitment exercise.

In a statement released on Friday by Olusegun Ogungbemide, Assistant Corps Marshal and Corps Public Education Officer, the FRSC clarified that these reports were fraudulent and urged potential applicants to ignore them.

The statement emphasized that the FRSC is not currently recruiting and that there is no ongoing recruitment process. It further warned the public against engaging with individuals or platforms spreading these scams, which are intended to deceive and defraud people.

“The attention of the Federal Road Safety Corps has been drawn to a publication by online platforms misinforming the public about ongoing recruitment of personnel into the services of the Corps,” the statement said. “This medium is to let the public know that the Corps is not recruiting at the moment, nor is there any ongoing arrangement to that effect.”

Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed also urged applicants and the public to disregard these misleading publications. He noted that recruitment processes within the FRSC are always transparent and are publicly announced through official channels, including their website, social media platforms, and National Traffic Radio 107.1FM.

“The public is by this publication warned to desist from any form of engagement with the purported scammers and purveyors of misinformation as the Corps will not be liable should anyone fall victim,” the statement concluded.

The FRSC reiterated its commitment to conducting recruitment in a credible and transparent manner and advised interested individuals to rely only on official announcements for accurate information.
