BREAKING: NLC Suspends Nationwide Strike

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has suspended its nationwide strike following what it on Sunday claimed as firm guarantee from the Federal Government that the tripartite committee on the Minimum Wage would be reconvened by October 4.

The national president of the NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabba announced this while briefing newsmen in Abuja.

The nationwide strike commenced last Thursday to protest the lack of seriousness on the part of government in addressing the demand by labour for a raise in the National Minimum Wage which is presently N18,000..
