Abia’s Bad Roads: El-Rufai’s Son Calls Out Ikpeazu

A call by Bashir El-Rufai, son of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State on Governor Okeize Ikpeazu to fix the roads in Aba has set many people from within and outside Abia State into a frenzy.
The call by Bashir, a very active twitter user received sharp reactions from with a number of twitter users also calling out his father over the killings in Southern Kaduna.
Some twitter users from the Southeast nevertheless lamented with regret that the challenges of Governor Okeize Ikpeazu in keeping Abia clean had deteriorated to the extent that Bashir would be calling out their governor.
Many twitter users also called out the commissioner for environment wondering whether the state had someone in that office.
The stage for the trend started after Bashir had posted the picture of a heavily flooded road leading to the main market in Aba asking the governor to address the situation.
The tweet was followed with responses from some who questioned the temerity of Bashir speaking out when a genocide was going on in Southern Kaduna.
However, some put the twitter fight with Bashir aside to confront what they described as the leadership challenges of Governor Ikpeazu.
