Tinubu On Parade As Nigerians Distil Edo Result
By Emmnauel Adigwe
Many Nigerians have taken to the social media to shade the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu saying that voters in Edo State were bold to shake off his influence in making their choice in the governorship election in the state.
GWG recalls that prior to the election Tinubu had urged Edo voters to reject Governor Obaseki.
The statement by Tinubu sparked outrage as many believed that it would hurt the APC candidate in the election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
Following the announcement of the results some Nigerians took to the micro-blogging platform to assert that the choice of who should be governor of Edo State was the preserve of the people in Edo State.
GWG presents some of their comments:

A Twitter user was of the opinion that the former governor of Lagos State, Ambode should have fought too like Governor Obaseki instead of accepting his fate and bowing out of the governorship race after he lost the primaries in the All Progressive Congress.
Usifo@MrUsifo wrote: “Still a long way to go. But I always said one thing. Win or lose, they must respect Obaseki and Phillip. Dogged fighters. Not like that coward Ambode that faded into obscurity at the slightest whistle from Bourdillon.”
