Zenith Bank’s GMD Gets CIB Honourary Fellowship
Adesina, Others Too
The Group Managing Director, Zenith Bank, Mr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, and the President of African Development Bank (AfDB) Dr. Akinwumi Adesina were among some distinguished bankers conferred with the honourary fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, CIB on Saturday.
The Fellowship investiture had the theme, “Financial Services in a Post COVID-19 Environment: Strategic Imperatives”.
The award on Mr. Onyeagwu came days after Zenith Bank won the Bank of the Year in Nigeria in The Banker Magazine’s Bank of the Year Awards upon its capacity to deliver returns, gain strategic advantage and serve the markets.
Speaking at the occasion, Adesina tasked leaders in the banking sector on “audacious leadership” to navigate challenges of COVID-19 pandemic and restore hope and confidence in Africa.
The event, held in Lagos and also attended virtually, saw some other leaders in the banking sector across the country and the continent being conferred with awards as Honorary Fellows, Elected Fellows and Honorary Senior Members.
