Breaking: 300 Girls Abducted From Zamfara School

Gunmen have kidnapped hundreds of school girls from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Talata Mafara local government area of Zamfara State according to multiple news sources.

Both the BBC and Daily Trust in separate reports claimed the abduction happened early on Friday morning.

Details of the kidnap were at daybreak still emerging.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the development is happening against the background of the yet unresolved kidnap of school children and staff of Government Science Secondary School, Kagara, Niger State.

According to Daily Trust, a resident of Kawaye village identified as Sadi Kawaye told Daily Trust that his daughters, Mansura and Sakina were among those abducted.

“I’m on my to Jangebe now to see the situation myself. I was told they invaded the school around 1am,” he told our reporter over the phone.

The Police is yet to react to the unfolding development.
