Buhari to visit Lagos on Monday, see why
President Muhammadu Buhari will embark on a two-day official visit to Lagos on Monday, January 23rd to unveil a series of iconic projects delivered by the state government.
This was revealed in a joint press conference on Friday, Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.
These projects include the Lekki Deep Sea Port, the 32-metric tons per-hour Lagos Rice Mill, the 18.75-kilometer 6-lane rigid-pavement Eleko Junction to Epe Expressway, the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History and the Lagos Blue Line rail project.
The president will also commission a private sector project, the MRS Lubricant factory in Apapa.
The visit has been themed “A Festival of Project Commissioning” by the state government.
President Buhari will be received by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries upon his arrival at the Murtala Muhammed Airport and will participate in a series of commissioning ceremonies, tours, and banquets during his stay.
The events will be broadcast live on various television and radio stations, as well as streamed on social media platforms.
This is the first official visit of the president to Lagos since 2019.
