NYSC Releases 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 Call-Up Letters, Announces Orientation Date

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the release of call-up letters for prospective corps members of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2.

The announcement of the release of call-up letters for the 2024 Batch B stream 2 was made on Monday via the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the NYSC

The orientation program for this stream is set to begin on August 28, 2024, and will continue until September 17, 2024. However, due to limited space in some states, the NYSC revealed that prospective corps members initially posted to Lagos may have their orientation exercises in Ogun or Osun States. Similarly, those assigned to Zamfara may be required to report to orientation camps in Kebbi or Sokoto States.

The NYSC also urged all prospective corps members to print and sign an addendum, which must be presented during registration at their respective orientation camps.

Prospective corps members are encouraged to visit the NYSC portal to access and print their call-up letters in preparation for the upcoming orientation program.

GWG.ng reports that the announcement of the release of the call-up letters for the 2024 Batch B Stream 2 prospective NYSC corps members came as troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army have neutralised one terrorist and also recovered four AK-47 magazines in Kaduna State.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations  of I Division Nigerian Army , Lt.-Col. Musa Yahaya on Monday.

”Troops while on clearance operations in the general areas of Sabon Birni, Dogon Dawa, Maidaro, Ngede Alpha and Rafin Kaji on Aug. 25, made contact with elements of terrorists.

“In the fire fight that ensued, our troop troop  overpowered and neutralised one of the terrorists while others fled with suspected gunshot injuries,” the army said..
