Popular Content Creator Opens Up On Painful Encounter With Nedu

Content creator Lucky Udu has opened up about a troubling experience he had with media personality Nedu, amid the ongoing controversy surrounding The Honest Bunch Podcast and social media critic Verydarkman (VDM).

In an audio message shared with VDM, Udu revealed that he once attempted to appear on the podcast to clear his name after his reputation was allegedly tarnished by fellow content creator GehGeh. However, his conversation with Nedu took an unexpected turn, leaving him shocked and disappointed.

According to Udu, Nedu dismissed him outright, claiming he had never heard of him and was uninterested in his work. Despite this, the OAP allegedly offered him a spot on the show—but only under the condition that he confront GehGeh live on air. Udu declined, stating that he did not want to promote toxic behavior or engage in a public spectacle.

The content creator further disclosed that Nedu sternly warned him never to discuss their conversation with anyone, a statement Udu interpreted as a subtle threat.

“You remember when people used to say, ‘If Lucky Udu posts you, your career is over?’ I lost so many opportunities and brands cut ties with me. My manager then suggested I go on The Honest Bunch Podcast to clear my name,” Udu recounted.

“Eventually, I got on a call with Nedu, and the first thing he said was that he didn’t know me, had never seen my content, and didn’t care about anything I do. He then told me he reviewed what GehGeh said about me and concluded that it was true.

“He told me to humble myself because he was inviting me to Lagos to be on the podcast. He also mentioned that GehGeh was on his way to the show and that I should take the opportunity to confront him. But I refused because I don’t want to encourage bad behavior.

“Nedu was rude throughout the conversation. Then he told me that whatever we discussed should never get out. He said I should bury my face in shame and come on the podcast to defend myself. He even said I wouldn’t like what would happen if I shared our conversation with anyone.”
