Popular Dancer Forgives Wife’s Infidelity

Jamaican dancehall artiste Adidja Palmer, popularly known as Vybz Kartel, has revealed that he has forgiven his wife, Tanesha Johnson, for her infidelity during his 13-year imprisonment. 

Speaking in episode 443 of the Drink Champs podcast, Vybz Kartel said he learned about the infidelity of his wife from the mother of one of his children while he was still in prison. The revelation deeply hurt him, even bringing him to tears. 

Despite the pain, he said he still holds respect for Tanesha, acknowledging that she is only human. “But I still respect her because I understand [she is a] human being… I forgave her immediately because I understand, but I just had to move on,” he said. 

Kartel also highlighted her unwavering support over the years, explaining that she remained by his side throughout his sentence. However, he admitted that the long separation eventually took its toll. 

“She was there right through, but come on, I am in prison for f**king 13 years; what do you expect her to do? Like, save the p**sy?” he added. 

Tanesha Johnson has been a significant part of Kartel’s life, known publicly as his longtime partner and the mother of his children. Even while he was behind bars, she remained vocal in her support, keeping their relationship alive despite the distance. 

Vybz Kartel was released from prison in August 2024 after serving time on murder-related charges, with one conviction leading to his imprisonment during which the wife’s infidelity reportedly occured.
