Video: Zicsaloma Slams Heartless LUTH Doctors
By Benjamin Abioye

Popular Nigerian skitmaker, Aloma Isaac Junior, widely known as Zicsaloma, has taken to social media to decry what he describes as shocking neglect and inhumane treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where his mother—who is battling cancer—was allegedly denied emergency care.
In an emotional video posted online, Zicsaloma recounted how his mother, who is undergoing chemotherapy and in a critical condition, was left unattended outside LUTH’s gates, despite the urgency of her situation.
“My mom… was diagnosed with cancer, undergoing chemotherapy, seriously reacting to chemo, at the point of death,” he said. “She’s a skeleton of herself. She might not make it.”
The skitmaker explained that after initially rushing her to a private hospital on Orchid Road, he insisted on taking her back to LUTH where she had received her initial treatment.
“We have to take her back to LUTH where she took her first chemotherapy shots. If not, she might not make it,” he emphasized.
However, according to Zicsaloma, LUTH security personnel refused to grant his mother access to the facility, allegedly citing an outstanding test result.
“They gave us a note… we took her to LUTH. The hospital refused to let her in,” he said. “They locked my mom, my younger sister, and the person escorting them outside the gate.”
He described how he pleaded with the hospital’s security and medical staff, to no avail.
“I’ve been calling and calling. ‘Oh yeah, give the security man, let this woman in,’” he recounted. “She cannot even stand. I literally backed my mom… she’s almost lifeless. But these guys are so unempathetic.”
Zicsaloma also alleged that a doctor refused to speak with him or check on his mother, despite her critical condition.
“I said, ‘Okay, can you go and see my mom?’ so that maybe you’ll have pity. He literally walked out,” he claimed.
The skitmaker, known for his humorous portrayals of exaggerated characters, noted the irony of his situation—having previously made satirical content about the healthcare system which, at the time, many thought was exaggerated.
“Sometimes when we make content about how nonchalant doctors are… you think we’re lying,” he said. “They are so unempathetic. If somebody is ill in this country, the person can just die.”
He added that his mother was left standing without even a chair or bed to lie on.
“Somebody that is lifeless, you kept her standing outside, unattended to… without a chair, without a bed, outside your hospital,” he said. “I wish you guys can see my mom’s condition.”
In a plea for help, Zicsaloma called on anyone with connections to LUTH or the authorities to intervene.
“Please, if there’s anybody that can help, please… because this country, if you don’t have connection, if you don’t know people, you just die here.”
As of the time of this report, LUTH has not issued an official response to the allegations.
The video has sparked outrage on social media, with many Nigerians echoing Zicsaloma’s frustrations over the state of the country’s public healthcare system, particularly in handling emergency and critical cases.
