Medical Doctor Urges Support For Ned Nwoko

Dr. Evbie Andrew has condemned attacks on a former member of the House of Representatives and Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chieftain, Prince Ned Nwoko calling on Deltans to back the lawyer.

Dr. Andrew, medical director of Williams Clinic and Diagnostic Centre spoke at a press conference on Friday.

Andrew who is also chairman of Evbie Andrew Foundation while asking Deltans at home and abroad to back Nwoko spoke against the background of allegations surrounding the purchase of land for his gestures.

He said:

“From available research and information gathered, the whole issue came about the purchase of 93 hectares of land from his community to pursue projects that will bring development to his locality and the state generally”.

“I agree I don’t have total knowledge of what transpired during the purchase of the lands causing the dispute, but from all available information in the public domain as it relates to the issue under review, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko bought the lands legitimately and has legal ownership of the lands, anyone saying otherwise is just being mischievous and an enemy of development and growth”.

“One of the reasons I decided to wade into this case was because I found it very troubling that anyone will ever contemplate fighting against projects that will bring development to not only a community but an entire region”.

“As a true Deltan, I am concerned firstly about the employment opportunities these projects when completed will provide for Deltans, for this singular fact anyone with opposing view is supposed to sheathe sword, except the misgivings are borne out of hatred, envy and personal gratification”.
