Buhari’s Aides Defy Lai Mohammed On Twitter Ban
As the news of the ban on Twitter operations in Nigeria settled among the citizenry, it emerged that President Muhammadu Buhari’s most active aides on social media were apparently turning their backs on the ban.
Neither Lauretta Onochie nor Bashir Ahmad, two of the president’s senior aides on new media had deleted accounts associated with them.
Indeed, while Ms. Onochie tweeted just about the time the ban was announced, Ahmad according to  GreenWhiteGreen GWG observations was still tweeting activities of the president and even tweeting the twitter ban on his handle.
It was as such no surprise that Nigerians went to Twitter to taunt the government on its action with many mocking that the government even went to twitter to announce the ban on the social networking platform!
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that many Nigerians on the platform expressed shock at the government’s action which followed the deletion of President Buhari’s tweet inveighing threats against troublemakers in the Southeast.
Meanwhile, Ms. Lauretta Onochie, President Buhari’s senior aide on New Media who is very active on twitter and apparently ignorant of the ban, had paid tribute to the efforts of the Customs in a tweet over the seizure of 103 parcels of Indian Hemp.
