Atiku Abubakar Mourns Death Of Long-Time Ally

Former Vice President and 2023 presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is mourning the loss of his close associate, Hajia Hadiza Adado, who passed away in Kano on Wednesday night following an illness.

Hajia Hadiza Adado, a former National Women Leader of the PDP, played a significant role in Atiku’s political journey. She served as the Director-General of Women Affairs in his most recent presidential campaign, where her leadership and dedication left a lasting impact.

In a heartfelt message shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Atiku expressed deep sorrow over her passing, describing her as an exceptional team player who made invaluable contributions to his campaign and to the PDP as a whole.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of Hajia Hadiza Adado’s passing. She was a superb team player who made a remarkable impact on our campaign and the PDP at large,” Atiku wrote. “My thoughts and prayers are with her family and all those who were inspired by her commitment to advancing the women’s agenda in Nigeria.”

Hajia Hadiza Adado was laid to rest on Thursday morning in accordance with Islamic rites. She is survived by her husband, Alhaji Yusuf Adado, and their four children.
