Protest Erupts Over Fuel Price Hike (Videos)
Videos showing tricycle operators in Ilorin, Kwara State protesting on Thursday against the hike in fuel price by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, are trending on social media.
In the videos, tricycle Operators were seen venting out their frustrations against the fuel price increase, in Yoruba language.

According to other reports on X.com, Commuters in various parts of Ilorin metropolis were left stranded on Thursday morning as tricycle operators and commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada riders, embarked on a sudden strike to protest the recent fuel price increases.
Some of the union leaders who spoke with journalists, attributed their actions to the recent hike in fuel price. They claimed some filling stations were selling the product at N1,200 per litre.
This protest action by the tricycle Operators left many commuters with no option but to trek long distances
GWG.ng learnt that the affected places were Gambari, Oja-Oba, Alore, Omoda , Ogidi and Adeta .
GWG.ng reports that Nigerians have been in a state of shock and distress since the NNPC hiked the fuel price from N617 to N855 per litre across Nigeria, on Tuesday.
Stakeholders have been calling on the federal government to reverse the move by the NNPC which is coming at a time when Nigerians are faced with the biting hardship in the country.
