In a recent statement, Juventus confirmed that they have mutually agreed with Paul Pogba to terminate his contract as of November 30, 2024.

The decision marks a significant chapter in the career of Pogba who has been sidelined due to a doping ban.

Pogba, who has not played since his suspension for using performance-enhancing drugs, had originally been handed a four-year ban. However, after appealing the ruling, the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced his suspension to 18 months, meaning the 31-year-old is expected to return to action in March 2025.

Juventus, in their statement, expressed that both the club and Pogba had come to a mutual agreement regarding the contract termination, allowing the Frenchman to move forward in his career.

Pogba, who was part of the France squad that triumphed at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, shared an emotional message with fans on social media following the announcement.

“There are moments when things don’t go the way we want, but one thing is certain: the bond I have with you, dear fans, will remain unforgettable,” he wrote on Instagram. “You have given me so much, more than I can put into words, and I will always carry with me all the affection you gave me. You’ll be in my heart, always. Good luck, Juventus.”

Pogba’s departure from Juventus, after returning to the club in 2022 following a stint at Manchester United, brings an end to a tumultuous period for the midfielder. As he gears up for a return to football in 2025, fans will eagerly await his next chapter on the pitch.
