Sexual Harassment Saga: Tension As Natasha’s Camp Affirms Evidence Against Akpabio (Video)

The camp of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has affirmed the availability of evidence to back her claim of sexual harassment levelled against the presiding officer of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

The first assertion of evidence was made by Senator Natasha in her response to Mrs Unoma Akpabio in which she asked the wife of the Senate President to stay on her lane given what she, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan claimed as evidence to back her claim.

However, the nature of the evidence has not been disclosed. Her aides have also doubled down on the claim with one assistant telling GWG.ng that she could not have made the claim without evidence.

“Madam is a lawyer and is not one to make careless statements,” one aide said in an obvious lapse of the allegation made against Reno Omokri.

“There is evidence and she is expected to further address the issue very soon,” the aide said on the basis of confidentiality.

Meanwhile, the matter of evidence was raging on the social media at the weekend as the sexual allegation claim made against Akpabio by Natasha continued to trend.

GWG.ng gathered some of the comments that trailed an interview with Ms Hassana Maina, executive director, Anti-Sexual Violence Lead Support Initiative who also backed Natasha’s claims against Akpabio.

Natasha claims she was sexually harassed by a supposed respected senate president and u want no action. Let the court do it job. And if this case doesn’t fly in court, in Nigeria, sensible Nigerians shall be the judge.

You’re not the court, so let the court determine whether she has a strong case against a fellow senator. Senator Natasha is a lawyer; she understands the law better than you do. Two women have made similar allegations, and we need to pay attention to the issues they have raised.
