BREAKING: Sole Administrator Arrives Rivers Govt

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Ibok-Ette Ibas, has arrived at the Government House and is holding a closed-door meeting with security officials.

The newly appointed Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas (rtd), arrived at the Government House on Thursday.

He immediately went into a private meeting with top security officials and other key stakeholders.

Ibok-Ette Ibas was sworn in on Wednesday by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu after the President declared a state of emergency in Rivers State. Following this decision, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu, and all elected members of the Rivers State House of Assembly were suspended.

The emergency rule is expected to last for six months, during which the Sole Administrator will oversee governance in the state. More details are expected to emerge as the situation unfolds.
