Joy As Warri Fellowship, VODIO Returns To Site
By: Daniel Bayagbon
The Voice of Dominion Intercessors Outreach (VODIO) under the Anglican Communion, Warri Diocese, has marked its return to its sanctuary with a memorable outreach, September To Remember’ with an encouragement to the faithful to remain patient in their wait on God on every issue.
The charge as espoused by the Bishop of Warri Diocese, Rt. Rev. Christian Ide came in the light of VODIO’s return to its sanctuary in Warri following the demolition of the structure by the preceding administration in Delta State.
Rev Ide in his charge to the attendees at the annual programme asked them to always lay their foundation in the name of the Lord and never to give up in fervent prayers, saying that God has a way of glorifying his name.
In his words ” When you lay a foundation in the name of the Lord, the devil will try to do something funny, but it becomes his undoing because it will definitely turn against it at the end of the day.
Gospel artistes like Praise Machine, Solo Kings, Pius Onovughe, VODIO mass choir and others also ministered at the event.
The climax of the occasion was the presentation of Heroes Awards, in recognition of the contributions of some exceptional individuals who have contributed to the growth of VODIO.
The recipients included: The Bishops of Warri, Ughelli, Sapele and Oleh Diocese, Rt.Rev Christian Ide, Arch Bishop Cyril Odutemu, Rt. Rev Blessing Erifeta and Rt. Rev John Usiwoma Aruakpor.
Others were Ven. Imonisan, Rev. Canon Longenus Agim, Late Ven. Robinson Arhawo, Architect Peter Obolo, Mrs Julie Mariere, Architect Thompson Umukoro, and Engnr Richard Mariere.
