Tinubu Condoles With Governor Over Mother’s Death

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, following the death of his mother, Hajia Maryam Namadi.

In a message shared on Thursday, Tinubu, through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, offered words of comfort to the grieving family. He encouraged Governor Namadi and his family to find solace in the fact that their mother, Hajia Maryam led a fulfilling life and left behind a lasting positive legacy.

The news of her death was confirmed on Wednesday through a statement by Governor Namadi’s Chief Press Secretary, Hamisu Mohammed Gumel. According to the statement, Hajia Maryam passed away in the early hours of Wednesday. Following Islamic burial rites, she was laid to rest in her hometown of Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State.

In his message, President Tinubu praised the late Hajia Maryam for her community service and philanthropic efforts. President Tinubu urged the Namadi family to continue her charitable work in order to preserve her memory and ensure the legacy of their mother endures.

Tinubu reassured Governor Namadi and his family, offering them comfort in knowing that the late matriarch’s good name would live on.
