Frank Edwards Thanks Mother For Stopping $320,000 Deal
By Benjamin Abioye

Gospel singer Frank Edwards has shared a personal story about how his mother once prevented him from signing a $320,000 deal that would have given a group control over his music catalogue.
Frank Edwards revealed that his mother, out of concern for his future, confiscated his international passport to stop him from finalizing the agreement. At the time, he did not fully understand her reasoning.
Through a heartfelt social media post, Frank Edwards expressed his gratitude toward his mother, acknowledging that her actions were driven by a deep sense of wisdom and love. He shared that his mother had also supported his career in the early stages by giving him ₦150,000 to start his own studio, a gesture that now seemed even more significant given the circumstances.
“I didn’t understand at the time, but I now appreciate her foresight,” Edwards wrote. “Thank you for everything, this space is not enough to write about you. Thank you for being an impenetrable wall of fire! Thank you for always telling me the mind of God about the things I’m doing. None of your words fell to the ground because you truly hear from God.”
Frank Edwards recalled how his mother stopped him from accepting the $320,000 deal by telling him, “The ₦150,000 I gave you to start that studio is bigger than that money, just give it time. They are not of God.” Despite being puzzled at the time, Edwards later understood her decision.
He continued, “After you said that, I was thinking, ‘How is ₦150,000 bigger than $320,000?’ But now I understand.” With sincere gratitude, he ended his post with a heartfelt tribute to his mother, saying, “Happy Mother’s Day, mum!”
