Video: Tinubu Confirms Shettima As Running Mate

All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has confirmed Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate in the forthcoming presidential election.

Tinubu revealed his pick just before he met President Muhammadu Buhari earlier this afternoon.
“I have not discussed it with him, but I have disclosed it to you,” the APC presidential flag bearer said when accosted by newsmen at the president’s private residence in Daura, Katsina State.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG had earlier quoted sources embeeded in the Tinubu campaign as confirming that Shettima was likely to be the vice-presidential candidate.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Shettima was chosen ahead of other notable contenders including Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Ganduje and Governor Babagana Zulum of Kaduna, Kano and Borno States respectively.

Zulum who succeeded Shettima had, however, specifically ruled himself out of the contest saying that he would not accept the nomination as he had more specific duties to focus on in Borno. That assertion, however, was believed to be out of consideration for Shettima.

The election may now have been set with Tinubu having confirmed Shettima as his running mate following the earlier confirmation of the other major presidential candidates of their running mates.
