Tinubu Mum As Friends, Foes Celebrate Obi At 62

President Bola Tinubu was mum as at midday on Wednesday as friends and even some foes of his political rival, Peter Obi celebrated the Labour Party presidential candidate on his 62^nd birthday.

GWG.ng reports that Obi has opted for a quiet birthday with a directive that friends should direct attention to the low-trodden.

Among those who have celebrated Peter Obi was Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP 2023 presidential candidate who was undeniably, the greatest loser from the decision of the celebrator to contest the presidential election. Obi’s emergence starved Atiku of traditional votes in the Southeast and South-South.

However, putting aside the political pain, Atiku in a message on twitter wrote:

“Peter Obi is a respected leader and distinguished former governor of Anambra state and presidential candidate of the Labour Party. Your dedication to service and growth continues to inspire. As you add another year today, I, on behalf of my family and team wish you many more years in good health and vitality”.

Reno Omokri who has been isolated as one of the most severe critics of Peter Obi in his message on twitter wrote:

“Here’s wishing Mr Peter Obi a happy 62nd birthday. In your time on Earth, you have indelibly etched your footprints in the sands of time for good.

“And perhaps your most worthy achievement is giving hope to millions of Nigerians, especially those who self-identify as Obidients.

Obidients, as supporters of Peter Obi were, however, more effusive on Twitter showering their democracy icon with praise.

However, President Tinubu has been mum as at  midday on how to issue a birthday message to Peter Obi, whose supporters have been unrelenting in their pursuit of him as one who supposedly took the mandate they claim they gave to their mentor.

GWG.ng reports that Obidients have been celebrating Obi on his birthday with several hastags including My President, The Lion, New Nigeria among others.
