JAMB Announces 2025 Direct Entry Registration
By Gideon Ayeni

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the sale of 2025 Direct Entry (DE) application forms will commence on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
In a statement released on Monday by JAMB Public Communications Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the board emphasized that the DE registration is strictly for individuals with degrees, diplomas, or A-Level certificates seeking admission into universities of their choice.
The announcement follows the successful conclusion of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application sales, which ended on Saturday, March 8, 2025. JAMB disclosed that a total of 2,030,627 candidates registered for the UTME, while 200,115 applied for the Mock-UTME, alongside 630 applicants for the trial mock.
JAMB has issued a stern warning against false declarations, stating that any 2025 DE applicant found submitting fraudulent credentials will face severe penalties. The board also revealed that a special committee will scrutinize all Advanced A-Level qualifications to prevent irregularities.
Furthermore, JAMB urged universities to directly verify applicants’ certificates before granting admission. To maintain transparency, the registration process will only be conducted at JAMB Professional Registration Centres (PRC).
Meanwhile, The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has extended the deadline for submitting applications for job vacancies in the Federal Civil Service to Monday, March 17, 2025.
This new date replaces the initial deadline of March 10, as previously advertised in national newspapers and on the FCSC website.
The announcement was made by FCSC Chairman, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, in a statement released by the commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Taiwo Hassan.
